Japanese learning programme in Kewdale Primary School
All students from years 3 to 6 receive a 60 minute lesson each week with the Japanese language program at KewdalePrimary School. The aim of learning Japanese as a second language at school are to foster the students’ interest in cross cultural learning, as well as to develop their skills in communicating in a Language Other Than English (LOTE). Learning a foreign language offers students the opportunity to view things from a different cultural perspective. The continued focus in 2016 will be on the four core learning areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
