Some of our Early Childhood students here at Kewdale Primary School planted a variety of trees around our school oval with the support of the City of Belmont’s Urban Forest Team.
The tree planting exercise took place in mid-October, under the City of Belmont’s Trees for Schools initiative.
The City of Belmont’s Trees for Schools started in mid 2022 with Kewdale Primary School being the first recipient of trees supplied by the City of Belmont.
City staff planted a number of Marri trees in Winter around our pre-primary playground to provide shade and play opportunities for our students.
In October the staff from the City of Belmont returned to plant 20 more trees, this time assisted by a number of our willing students and staff keen to learn how to plant, care and nurture our new trees.
Kewdale Primary would like to thank the City of Belmont for their support in helping to beautify our school.
