Wednesday 13 September, our wonderful school choir sang their hearts out in the 2023 WA Massed Choir Festival held at the Perth Concert Hall. This festival runs over 9 nights and includes over 5000 children from 101 different schools. The children sang a repertoire of 11 songs which they had been learning over the past 2 terms. The opening number, Walking On Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves, was a definite favourite of the audience, and there were many family members singing along. The choir of nearly 600 voices surprised the audience by donning headbands to sing the song Flashdance by Giorgio Moroder and Irene Cara. The final song, Can You Feel It, was a feel-good number that left everyone with a smile on their face.
The students from Kewdale Primary School were a credit to our school. Their behaviour, as always, was impeccable, and I was so proud of them. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents and families who continue to support our choir. We truly appreciate it.
