On Friday, May 17, Kewdale had a blast celebrating Walk to School Day!
Walk Safely to School Day is all about rethinking our transportation habits and sneaking in more steps for a healthier, more active lifestyle. While walking the entire way to school might not be doable for everyone, there are plenty of fun and simple ways to add a walk to your family’s daily routine:
- Walk with your kids all the way to school.
- If they take the bus or train, walk past your usual stop and hop on at the next one.
- If driving is a must, park a few blocks away and stroll the rest of the way.
