Our Year 6 students, together with Mr N, have been working hard on their entry into the 2026 Royal Show Scarecrow Competition!
This year’s theme is “The Diversity of Animals in Agriculture”, giving students the opportunity to explore the many animals that play an important role in agriculture from sheep and cattle to chickens, horses, alpacas, bees and aquaculture species.
Our students have been getting creative while learning about where our food comes from, the role animals play in farming, sustainability and the industries that help feed and support our communities.
The project has also provided a fantastic hands-on learning opportunity, bringing together The Arts, Science, HASS, and Design and Technologies.
We are so proud of the creativity, teamwork and effort our Year 6 students have put into their scarecrow.
